Scott Beattie is a Winnipeg-based drummer, performing artist, and music instructor. Most notably recognized as a member of the Winnipeg recording/touring act Bright Righteous, Beattie’s fifteen years of playing experience has added to the live touring performances of additional Pipe & Hat artists Sc Mira and Faouzia.
Furthering his range of stylistic approach to drum and electronic drum presentation, Beattie has performed and recorded with a number of independent musical acts, including Juno-nominated artist Romi Mayes, The Jarret Lobley Project, composer Travis Haugen, Electric Feel, Ralph, and Jack and the Giants. Beattie has also worked with a number of producer/audio engineers including Mike Nash, Jordan Waters, Soundsmart, and Len Milne.
Whether he’s performing at the Garrick Centre, Yonge and Dundas Square, Dauphin’s Countryfest, or a dimly-lit basement bar, Beattie’s playing approach is tailored to the artist he is backing up and delivering the highest quality of musicianship for their concert selections.
