Tyler Wagar uses creative ingenuity to work across many of today’s multimedia platforms. His composition work for television can be seen internationally on networks such as CBS and the Oprah Winfrey Network, and currently enjoys airtime across every continent of the globe, except for Antarctica, where he has yet to make his broadcasting debut (all in due time). His foray into commercial advertising can be enjoyed by happy travelers, who can hear his music on Ceetiz commercials for Air France, as part of their in flight entertainment.
As a songwriter and member of Winnipeg’s Sc Mira and the now-defunct Nonsuch, his music has traveled (along with him) across Canada, Japan, and the United States playing in festivals such as SXSW, Junofest, and NXNE. In film, he has been an active member of the community since making his debut as a five-year-old, playing ‘boy at birthday party #2’ in a made for television movie. Today he can be seen in productions for the CBC, and in films for independent filmmakers across the country.
As a producer, Tyler enjoys awakening artistic possibilities in others, as a composer, he helps filmmakers to realize whatever it is they are dreaming, and as a songwriter, he is constantly imagining the next innovative step needed to be taken; in today’s ever changing world of artistic conversation.
